Miss A

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Jo compare to your prior experience?

This was my first shoot.

Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

I needed a cap, a finale, an experience to prove to myself my last 12 months of loving myself as I am, and practicing being confident had a positive result. It was also important that I after being behind the camera, I have at least a few photos I was proud of and loved

What was your favorite part of the session?

Part way through I suddenly felt powerful and comfortable. I couldn't see my photos yet, but I had an attitude change feeling secure and beautiful, which was the moment I wanted.

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

I had 1000 filtered selfies, weird poses during candid/background photos, and up my nose shots from my kids. Just about everything made me cringe. Joanna gave me photos I love. That I wonder if that's really me. It was life changing truly to see myself be as beautiful without wanting to criticize or change a single thing.

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

I had worried slightly about getting wrapped up in how I thought I looked and getting awkward. But I didn't, there was so much direction and instruction it never got to that point

What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?

I wouldn't have changed anything. My favorite part was my husband's eyes when he saw my photos. Not just because they are sexy, but he understood how how important this whole experience was to me, and that they came out better than I had hoped.
